A Little Bit of Winter and Some Muffins to Warm You Up!

Happy, Happy Friday everyone!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend planned. We should be having a nice one. I get to go to the stamping store again tomorrow and have lunch with Jason. He has to go into work tomorrow for about an hour so we are going to meet him and have lunch once he's done. We haven't done that in forever so I am really looking forward to it. Speaking of Jason's work, he just received an offer for a new job and he is going to accept it!!! I am so excited for him. He really likes the place he works at now, but in the computer field you always have to stay on top of your game so every once in awhile he looks for a new opportunity somewhere. I am really proud of him. He is so smart and talented. The best part for Izzy and I is that he will be a little closer to home! That means more Daddy time at night!

I have to say, I am so proud of Izzy too!! Yesterday when we went to the stamp store, she wanted to walk with me. I have taught her not to touch things, but you know how it is when there are cool things sitting out everywhere. Well, I am proud to say, she did not touch anything!!! She simply followed me around, holding the little basket with my stuff in it, pretending it was a purse. I really lucked out with her! She is such a good girl.

Well, I have some older projects to share today. I made these a couple of weeks ago and forgot that I had them until last night, so I decided to share them instead of the projects I created yesterday. My first card is a card I created following one of Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You To Try's. I just loved how she used the circles in her sketch and wanted to give it a try!

I am loving my Cricut machine again. I went through a stage where I hardly ever used it and now I am back into using it almost every day!!! I don't know what my deal is. So, I started this card by coloring in Cross Stitch Tilda by Magnolia with my markers and copics. This was another image I received from my wonderful friend Kimmie. I then mounted her on maroon and blue card stock. Following the sketch, I layered on maroon and blue card stock along with some winter DP. I cut out circles with snowflakes in the middle using my Cricut machine and mounted them in the corner. To finish the card off, I added three brads down the side. I love this color combo for winter, it is cool and warm at the same time!

My second project for today is a fun and quick tag I made for my neighbor. She was making Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins for Christmas and wanted little tags to put on the packages. (Don't worry, I am still trying to get her to give me the recipe!). Well, I was kind of Christmas colored out, and you know about my orange kick, so I decided to use more of a pumpkin, chocolate theme.

Don't you love Riley and Sophie?!!! They are both so cute!!! I know I need more of them, but explaining that you need more, rubber moose to your husband is a difficult task. So I started this tag out by stamping Baking Riley by Hanna Stamps on white card stock and colored him in using my copics and markers. I then layered on brown and orange card stock along with some Basic Grey DP. I used my nesties to cut out the scalloped rectangles and the computer to type my sentiment. This tag was so quick and easy to make, once I get the recipe I think I am going to give the muffins and tags away as gifts!

I am off to check out some more blogs and get caught up. Don't forget about the Pink Cat Studio Contest that is running until the 13th at 9pm EST. A Pink Cat stamp set is up for grabs! Have a great day and thanks as always for stopping by!
