I Made a One Layer Card and I Cased Another!!!!

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope your week has been a good one. Mine has been good overall, minus the Izzy sick thing. It was so cute yesterday. She kept asking to take baths! We actually took three of them. I think the warm water loosened up some of the junk in her chest though so that was really helpful. She also loves that Vics Vapo rub. She actually asks me to put it on her. Now why anyone would want to smell like menthol is beyond me but she loves, loves, loves it. I do think she is feeling better though. She got outside for a couple of minutes again yesterday and harassed Tuxy some. So I think she is starting to feel more and more like herself.

We also had a great time at girl's night last night. Tracy came over after work, of course Izzy was glued to the glass storm door' lying in wait for her to come up the walk! LOL! Then we had Qudoba for dinner, remember I don't cook, and had a relaxing evening of chatting and hanging out. It was especially nice for me because Tracy is going to be on vacation next week and I won't be able to see her!!! NOOOO!!! Seriously we talk almost every day so 4 days without her is a lot!

Alright, onto the cards for today! I know that I mentioned earlier in the week that my super talented friend and fellow Pink Cat DT member Vicki was hosting a challenge over at the Pink Cat Studio PCP group. I was super proud of myself because I made sure I cut and pasted the directions. Um, yeah, I didn't paste everything. Namely the rules and the prize!! Doh!! Okay so here we go again. Here is what is up with the Pink Cat Challenge!

Challenge Description: The challenge is to create a ONE Layer Card. One Layer Only!!!!! The only exception to the one layer rule is that you can use some Paper piecing on your stamped image. Other than that, just one piece of cardstock. You can Sponge, Dab and add all the ink and embellishment that suit your fancy as long as you keep it in one layer. To achieve the look on my sample, I sponged various colours of ink using masks to block out the areas that I wanted to leave white.

Date the challenge ends: Wednesday March 11th, 5 pm EST

Requirements: A Pink Cat Studio stamp must be used as the main stamp on the card or project. It is okay to use stamps from other companies as well. To be eligible for the prize you must upload your card before the deadline to your PaperCraftPlanet gallery and include the tag PCSDTC2. You may enter only 1 project for this challenge. If you have questions about this challenge, please post them in this discussion thread.

Prize: On March 11th, a winner will be chosen by a random draw from all of the challenge participants. The winner will receive a grab bag of Pink Cat Studio stamps. The winner will be announced in the PCP challenge discussion thread and on the Pink Cat Studio blog. Some cards from the challenge will be displayed on the PCS blog.

And I finally got my card made!!! Yay!! It is a one layer card that I made with some digital papers and my drawing tool on my computer. I swear it is one layer! I actually took a picture of the inside to prove it! LOL!

Inside:

Whewww!!! I have really been sweating this one. You know how I am with these one layer cards. They are virtually impossible for me! So I pulled out an old tried and true technique that I have used before of layering on digital papers and creating boxes and ovals using the drawing function in Microsoft Word. Truly the only trick is remembering what colors you picked for your solid boxes! LOL! I started this project by uploading my two patterned papers from the digi paper pack Simply Spring by MFT and then created all of my other rectangles and ovals using the drawing tool in Microsoft word. Next I decided on a layout, arranged all my shapes and patterns and then printed it off on my white card stock I color on. I stamped my Lily on a lily pad from the new Enchanted Lily set by Pink Cat Studio on white card stock and colored her in with my copics. I actually masked off the bottom of the lily pad but didn't mask off enough so I had to cover up my boo boo with some prima flowers and brads. For the ribbons, I simply used a craft knife to cut slits along the outside of my largest oval and threaded it though. To finish the card off, I added a couple of bella baubles to my oval and stamped the sentiment in cocoa brown ink by memento in the corner. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I am so proud of this card. I am in love with layering so to make me make a card that is only one layer is super difficult for me. I have to say though that I handed this card to both Jason and Tracy last night and the both felt the surface of the card before they would believe that it was only one layer! LOL!

So lately I guess I have been on a casing kick! This is actually my third cased card this week! I am really enjoying it! Well, this card is for The Greeting Farm's challenge this week which is called The Case of the Curious Card! Marie has challenged us to case an amazing card by Kristine. I just loved the simple layout with all the additional little fluers and she added! Of course her coloring is amazing, so this was definitely a challenge!

I can only hope mine is half the card of Kristine's! For my card I decided to change the colors, the stamp and the embellishments. I started the card by first stamping Anya from Rock the Farm by The Greeting Farm on white card stock and colored her in using my copics. I then distress the edges with my close to cocoa ink and a sponge. Following the layout from Kristine's card, I layered on green and red card stock along with DP from the new Basic Grey Marrakesh paper pack. I loved the fluers and sentiment so much on her card that I decided to stamp my sentiment in the corner and some heart flowers where she had her sentiment. To finish the card off, I replaced her fluer de lis with a felt button and decided to tie a double bow with my ribbon. I just love the dark saturated colors in this paper pack. Might have to pick up another one!

Well, that is it for me today! Don't forget that it is day three of SUInk's sneak peek schedule! Everything has been completely amazing!!! Here is the line up for today and tomorrow!

SUINK's Easter Eggs and a Little Hoppy!

Happy Thursday everyone!!!

Izzy is still sick! Poor, poor baby. She was feeling better though yesterday and we were actually able to play outside for about an hour. Mostly she wandered around the back yard, following Tuxy. She did fill up a pot with pebbles and dump it out a couple of times, so I am really hoping that this is a passing thing and nothing that is going to keep her down. I have to say though that it is nice to have a cuddly little girl. She is just so loving and sweet! I guess I love it because I know that it won't last forever! Hopefully I will be back with more pictures of Izzy tomorrow. It is a little hard to take them when she is attached to your chest! LOL!

Now, I won't keep you in suspense any longer. That would be cruel! It is finally my time to sneak peek the new Storage Units, Ink and More March sets!!!! They are just so adorable. Two sets will be released this month; an Easter set called Some Bunny Loves You and a play set called Let's Play. And I know I might get in trouble for this, so please don't tell, but I just couldn't resist sneak peeking both!!! They are both so cute and so sweet! I just couldn't resist!

So my first card for you today is a card I created using the new Let's Play set that will be released Sunday March 1st. This set contains several adorable little scenes of kids on a playground. Honestly a perfect set for party invitations, note cards for kids or well just about anything to do with spring and summer. So here is a creation I made for my niece who is trying very hard to get green week's as school. I have to say I am really proud of her. She has had 3 weeks in a row!

See, what I mean!!! Too, too cute!!! I love that the little girl drew a hopscotch court with chalk. That was one of my favorite activities when I was a kid! Anywhoo, I started this card by stamping the little girl playing hopscotch from Let's Play by Storage Units, Ink and More on white card stock and colored her in using my copics. I then cut her out and mounted her on yellow, green and red/orange Core'dinations card stock. I decided to create a long card for this so I could show off my square card stock by DCWV. I layered it on green, blue and red/orange Core'dinations card stock and added three green polka dot ribbons. To finish the card off, I popped off my main image at an angle, stamped my sentiment also from Let's Play, cut it out along with a piece of green and blue Core'dinations card stock using my nesties and then placed it on the side of my image. I really think my niece will get a kick out of it and I hope it keeps her encouraged to do well!

So, my second card I am sneaking in. I just couldn't help but make a card with it, the set is just too, too cute!!! As soon as I opened my package this month, I instantly wanted to ink up those adorable little chicks! They are so, so sweet! Anywhoo, here is my sneak peek for the new set Some Bunny Loves You.

Aren't those chicks sweet!! Almost makes me want one of my own! Almost! LOL! I started this card by stamping the girl and chicks from Some Bunny Loves You by SUInk and More on white card stock and colored them in using my copics. For her dress, I stamped my girl image on a piece of Basic Grey DP, cut it out and paper pieced it on top of my girl. I really wanted my card to resemble an Easter egg so I decided to cut out teal and yellow Core'dination card stock ovals using my nesties. For the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment on white card stock, sponged certainly celery around the edges and then mounted it on teal card stock I cut out with my nesties. To complete the card, I decided to thread through a yellow ribbon and make a loop so the recipient could hang it on their Easter tree when they received it!

Now, it is time to check out the rest of the DT's awesome creations! I was so blown away yesterday and today! I can't believe all the talent that is contained in one place!

Sometimes Too Much is a Good Thing!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Where has the week gone! Man it is just flying by. I have so much to do and so little time to do it in. I am sure most of you are in the same boat. And the sickness train has made a pit stop at our house. Poor Izzy is sick. I feel so bad for her. She has a terrible cough and overall is just super snugly. I think that she is having a hard time breathing so she is unable to take good naps. I actually am going to call the doctor and see if she needs to be taken in. I really think though that they are just going to tell me to use a humidifier and make sure she gets lots of fluids. So, sorry no picture of Izzy today. She was too tired and grumpy yesterday to get a good one.

First off, I want to let you know that today is the first day of the Storage Units, Ink and More Sneak Peeks. OMG, the sets are awesome!!! I simply adore them!!! I can see endless possibilities for these sets. Here is the sneak peek line up.

Tomorrow

Now, to today's title! Guess what!!! I was asked to be this week's Guest Designer for Danni's Dreams Flutter by Wednesday Challenge!!! I was so honored to be asked. The challenge this week of course is to include either a butterfly or flutterby on your card somewhere with the additional challenge of using orange and yellow. Well this was actually a little hard for me. I don't have a lot of papers that are yellow, just not a color I am super attracted too, but I do think the combo of orange and yellow together is really attractive. I decided to use Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You To Try Challenge for the layout.

What do you think? Are the butterflies too much? I really wanted the butterflies to look like they are cascading down the card carrying along my little Butterfly Lily! I started this card by stamping Lily on a swing from the new Enchanted Lily set by Pink Cat Studio on white card stock and colored her in with my copics. I then layered on my orange and green card stock and my DP from Heidi Grace Designs. Next I cut out my Lily and mounted her on top of a piece of orange card stock and DP that I cut out with my oval nesties. I also stamped my sentiment on some yellow and green card stock that I cut out with my nesties. To finish the card off, I punched out a ton of butterflies in orange, yellow and maroon and glued them all up the side of the card. I actually think this was the hardest part of the project! LOL! I then added pearls to the larger butterflies and colored them in with my orange copic to make them blend in. I really like the colors and the millions of butterflies! LOL! Oh and don't worry you can play along too! Just be sure to add the keyword FBW46 when uploading to SCS or PCP.

So I am finally catching up on things from last week. My good friend Jessica and VP of Club Anya issued a challenge last week over at the Club Anya blog to take a gander through The Greeting Farm Gallery and find a card to case. Well, this was right up my alley! I mean not only do I get to look at gorgeous creations made by super talented women, but I have a built in sketch!!!! Yay!! The only down side is I missed the deadline for the prize! Booo!!! Oh well, I usually just play to participate anyway. So here is my card, a couple days late but still posted!

I wanted to create a card for my niece Kelsey's birthday. she is such a girly girl and loves to shop so I thought a card where Miss Anya was shopping for lots and lots of new things would be a great idea! I decided to case this amazing card by the uber talented Brandi for my inspiration. I started this card by stamping Miss Anya by The Greeting Farm on white card stock and colored her in using copics. I then cut her out and placed her to the side. Using Brandi's card as my inspiration, I layered on green, purple and Bazzill bling blue card stock along with some DP from Collage Press. I used my Martha Stewart Punch to created the fence and my Fiskars punch to create the awning. To make the window in the middle, I cut out my card stocks using my rectangle nesties and stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up! Birthday Balloons. I finished the card by attaching two ribbons to the "awning" and popping off my Miss Anya! I really hope that Kelsey likes it!

Now for my last order of business. Today is the first day of a wonderful Pink Cat Challenge over at the Pink Cat Group on PCS!! My good friend Vicki and fellow DT member has issued a doozy of a challenge and created one stunningly beautiful card! Here are the deets!

Challenge Description

The challenge is to create a ONE Layer Card. One Layer Only!!!!! The only exception to the one layer rule is that you can use some Paper piecing on your stamped image. Other than that, just one piece of cardstock. You can Sponge, Dab and add all the ink and embellishment that suit your fancy as long as you keep it in one layer.

Yikes! One Layer!!!! You know how tough those are for me, so I will be sharing my card later this week! Thanks as always for stopping by today! Lots of smiles!

Cupcake Twinkle and The Luck of the Irish!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

I hope that your week is starting off well! Izzy and I had a pretty busy but fun day yesterday. I was able to watch Melaina in the morning for an hour or so and then her mother Dawn and Lucy's mother Melissa, the kids and I all went out to the Olive Garden for lunch. It was too funny because I don't think they knew what to do with three women and three kids. They actually annexed us to a semi-private room at a table that fed 12. The best part is the kids were very well behaved and simply ate their food. I guess they were expecting the worst!

So how fun was the Pink Cat release? Were you not blown away! All the creations were simply stunning!!! I just can't believe how talented my fellow design team members are! I hope that you were able to get your Enchanted Lily set yesterday.

Well, it is Tuesday and you know what that means!!! Twinkling Tuesday!!!! I have to say, I think this was the hardest week for me. Madelynn did not issue a sketch challenge this week, but rather an inspiration challenge. I was so shocked when I saw the picture! You know me and my sketches so then I had to hurry up and find a sketch to work with the inspiration challenge! LOL! Although I have to say, everything came out just the way I wanted, so I can't complain. There is just something about Madelynn's challenges; they always seem to work out that way! Anywhoo, I decided to use the Mojo Monday sketch for the layout.

Okay, so is the cup not good enough to eat! I can so see why she would be inspired by it!! Yummy!!!! When I first saw it though, I immediately thought of some pepperment striped paper I had left over from Christmas. I had a dilemma though. I didn't want the card to be a Christmas card but I really wanted to incorporate the paper and the red ribbon. Well, low and behold, what should arrive in my mailbox yesterday but Ian the Chef!!! I am telling you it was kismet!!! So I started this card by stamping Happy Chef by The Greeting Farm on white card stock and colored him in using my copics. I then stamped his hat and 5 cupcakes on white card stock, colored them in with my copics, cut them out and popped them off my main image. Following the sketch, I layered on black, white and red card stock along with my peppermint swirls DP from American Craft and some other black and white DP from Quick Quotes Paper. I punched out the scallops with my threaded scallop punch from Fiskars and replaced the brads with a big red ribbon. I hope Madelynn approves!!! This was just such a fun card to make and I can't wait to give it to my dad who loves to cook!

Now don't worry, you can play along this week too! All you need to do is type in the keyword MTTSC11 when uploading your card to SCS or PCP. Also leaving a comment on Madelynn's blog will help! Here are the rest of the DT girls' creations to inspire you! Awesomeness at it's finest!!!
So did you happen to notice one of my fellow Twinkies is Jami Bova? Yeah, I am talking about the incredibly talented Jami Bova who just so happened to be last week's Featured Stamper on SCS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it!! I was so excited for her! Let me tell you, it was incredibly difficult picking out a card to case. Everything was so, so amazing that I wanted to try them all! And not only was it hard to pick one, it took me forever because I just kept staring at all the awesome creations and going back and looking and looking! Wow!!! Anywhoo, I really wanted to play along and step outside my comfort zone so I decided to case this stunning creation. I just loved the simple layout and color and the beautiful way everything worked together. So here is my humble attempt at her stunning creation!

Simply beautiful right? I think I could spend hours if not days looking through her stuff! So I started this card by first stamping my sentiment from Blarney Stone by SUInk and More on white card stock in handsome hunter (my first change). I then mounted it on some dark green and light green Core'dinations card stock (my second change), snipping the corners out with my slot punch. Next I embossed a piece of white card stock with my argyle embossing folder (third change) and punched and set pewter eyelets throughout the pattern. I then mounted it on a piece of dark green and light green Core'dinations cardstock. To finish the card off, I attached a large bow to the corner and stamped and colored in the some shamrocks. I popped them off the corners of my sentiment and applied crystal effects so they would look shiny like brads (fourth change). A quick and elegant card that my friend Tracy can make for her family for St. Patrick's day! Thanks Jami for the awesome idea!

Speaking of SUInk, tomorrow starts the first day of sneak peeks for March's stamp sets. And can I tell you they are awesome!!

Now a parting picture of Izzy. As I told you Sunday, Izzy had an amazing time with her great-grandmother and really enjoyed sitting on her lap and reading with her. So here she is, my bookworm enjoying some great-grandma time!

Thanks as always for stopping by! Lots of smiles!

Enchanted Lily is here!!!!

Happy Monday everyone!!!

Well, we made it back from Kansas City in one piece and had a great time doing it! We had a nice little lunch with Jason's parents and his brother's family before we left. The best part was we got to eat some left over birthday cake and then made the four hour trip home in sunny but cool weather. Since we got home a little late, we decided to go out to dinner and then made a pit stop at Target to pick up a birthday gift. It was a nice ending to a family themed weekend.

Today is going to be another busy day for us. I am watching Melaina again in the morning and then her mother Dawn, the girls and I are all going out for lunch. I am still waiting to see if Lucy and her mom will be able to make it but I really hope they can. It is just so fun seeing all the girls together playing and laughing. I also think it helps them with socializing since they don't get to spend a lot of time with other children.

Enough jabbering! I know what all of you are here for!!! The Pink Cat release of the new Enchanted Lily set!!! I can't believe the day is already here! This month has just flown by! Well here it is, a picture of the four amazing images and the sentiments that accompany them.

Aren't they absolute perfection! My nieces saw them when I was teaching my sister how to color and just couldn't get enough of them. They kept asking me to stamp them up more and more! It was so sweet! So in honor of this release I created one more card using the last stamp included in the set, the Leaping Lily stamp. She was actually the adorable image that sparked the whole Enchanted Lily set!

For this card, I really wanted to create a feel of Lily flying through the air so I created a window card! I just love how she has her wings spread behind her and her hair flowing in the wind! I started this card by stamping Leaping Lily from the new Enchanted Lily set by Pink Cat Studio on white card stock and colored her in using my copics and glitter pen. I then cut her out and set her to the side. To create my window card, I cut two pieces of brown card stock, one a half inch longer than the other and scored the top most piece a quarter of an inch in from both sides and then a half inch in from both sides so that it would pop up from the back. I then cut out a hole in the middle using my nesties, mounted a piece of acetate behind it, placed some Basic Grey DP on top of my back panel and glued them all together. Next I placed a piece of pink card stock and a piece of Cloud 9 DP on top, both of which I cut out circles using my nesties. Finally, I placed prima flowers in the two corners and used brown brads and dimensionals to attached them. I stamped my sentiment on white card stock, mounted it on pink and attached it to the bottom with some more flowers. To finish the card, I simply placed my leaping Lily in the middle to make her look like she is floating in the trees! A perfect little thank you card!

Now it is time once again to check out my fellow DT member's amazing creations!! I have been blown away so far by what they have created! They are one talented group of women!
And now that you have checked out the rest of the dt's creations, run don't walk and get your Enchanted Lily set!! Thanks as always for stopping by and staying for awhile it is greatly appreciated! Smiles!

A Little Sneaky Peeky of Pink Cat!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope all of you are having a great weekend! Jason's Grandmother's party was so much fun yesterday. My mother-in-law pulled out a whole bunch of old pictures and everyone was looking through them and reminiscing. It was so educational and exciting to hear all the stories being told. I just can't believe all the things that Jason's Grandmother has accomplished. She was actually a teacher in a one room school!!! Wow! She would have to come in every morning and light the fire in the grate so that the 10 children she taught (grades kindergarten through 8th) could be warm! And all of this she did the year after she graduated high school!!! Simply amazing!

Izzy had the best time as well. She played with all of her cousins and got to read lots and lots of books. She even conned great-grandma into reading her a couple. Although I am not quite sure who had more fun at doing that! Then we had a nice little dinner together last night and headed out to Archivers with my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law. The perfect Saturday!

Speaking of crafting and stamping, I know a little stretch there, lol, it has come to the part of my post that you all have been waiting for. Drum roll please!!!!! The Pink Cat Studio Sneak Peeks!!!!! Today I am showing you two more creations I made with two of the other fairies in the Enchanted Lily set that will be released tomorrow!!

My first card features the new stamp with the adorable Lily sitting on a mushroom, holding a ladybug! This is actually the card I gave to Jason's grandmother yesterday.

Isn't she just the sweetest sitting on her little mushroom! I love the expression the the ladybug's face as well! So, so adorable!!! Anyways, I started this card by stamping Lily on the mushroom from the Enchanted Lily set by Pink Cat studio on white card stock and colored her in using my copics. I added touches of glitter pen to her underwings to give it some sparkle. I then mounted her on some red and black card stock cutting out the corners so that I could add some rhinestone stickers. I then layered on some black and white polka dot DPs I believe from Pine Cone Press along with the remainder of my black and red card stock. I punched out my lady bug using my new Martha Stewart punch, attached it to the upper corner and created a trail with some more rhinestone stickers. To finish the card off, I stamped the sentiment on white card stock, mounted it on red and curled it with a pencil to give it a more whimsical feel. I really think Jason's Grandmother liked it!

My second card for today features the new Lily with frog stamp from Enchanted Lily. I just love how Lily is pointing her wand at the frog, and I imagine her hoping for a prince! Here she is!

How can you resist that adorable little frog!!! EEEEE! He is just so cute! and I love the lily pad and flower! Can you say gorgeous!!! So, I started this card by stamping Lily with frog from the new Enchanted Lily set by Pink Cat Studio on white card stock and colored her in using my copics. I added lots of glitter pen to this one so that she would sparkle (too bad you can't see it in the picture). I then mounted her on a piece of lime green paper and a piece of dark green paper I cut out with my nesties. I turned her at an angle on top of my Basic Grey DP and layered on pink and green card stock. I added two lengths of pink stitched ribbon and tied a bow on either side of my image. For the sentiment, I stamped it on white card stock and mounted it on top of a piece of green I cut out with my nesties and a DP flower I used my Cricut to create. To finish the card off and to make sure she had enough sparkle, I added two rhinestone flowers to the sentiment and three bella baubles to the corner! I really hope that Lily's wish of a prince comes true!!!

Now it is time for you to go see the other DT member's fabulous creations!! Weren't yesterday's unbelievable and today's will surely knock your socks off as well!!

Well, tomorrow is the big day!!! I not only get to show you the last Lily in the Enchanted Lily set, but it is also release day!!! I am so excited!! Thanks as always for stopping by! Smiles!

Swing By for Some Pink Cat Sneak Peeks!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

I hope you all are having a nice weekend so far! Jason, Izzy and I are in Kansas City right now, getting ready for Jason's grandmother's 90th birthday party. I am so excited! I really think it will be a lot of fun!

We had a really nice trip in. Izzy didn't seem to mind the drive too much. She mainly giggled at Tuxy's discomfort and tried to pet him and poke him every chance she got! Poor Tuxy was so happy to get out of the car by the time that we got here that he was actually doing laps around the yard!!!

Izzy also was able to visit her friend Lucy yesterday!!! Lucy turned two and invited us to ride the carousel at the mall with her and then have lunch. It was so much fun, although Izzy was not too sure about the carousel part. She kept saying, "No, no!" every time I asked her if she wanted to ride it and when we finally tried it, she dissolved down into tears. We eventually wound up on one of the benches with her clinging to me for dear life. Oh well, better luck next time! LOL!

So, have I built up enough suspense? Are you anxious now to see a sneak peek of one of the new stamps being released Monday at Pink Cat Studio? Hmmm, should I let you off the hook and show you? Alrighty, I honestly can't wait any longer either!!! Here she is Miss Lily on a swing!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!! Isn't she the cutest ever!!!! I just love all the flowers on the ropes that Melissa drew and the branch is absolutely divine!!! It was hard to make just one project with this amazing image, I had so many ideas!!! I started this card by stamping Lily on the swing from Enchanted Lily by Pink Cat Studio on white card stock and colored her in with my copics. I then drew in the rest of the background with my copic multiliner and colored it in with my copics as well. Next, I cut out a piece of maroon and a piece of pink card stock with my oval nesties and mounted my image on top. I then layered on some embossed designer paper along with some maroon and pink card stock. For the corners, I added some suede leaves I had that came in a strip, punched out some small flowers out of maroon card stock and DP and added pearls. To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment, also from the Enchanted Lily set, cut it out with a piece of maroon card stock using my nesties and placed some tiny butterflies I created with a heart punch and some pearls in the corner. I just love the way the Lily actually looks like she is swinging back and forth across the page! A perfect card for a little girl or an adult!

Now, it is time to check out all the other DT's awesome creations!! And can you say, blew me away!!! Wow, wow, wow!!! They are amazing so make sure you stop by and give them some love!
And did you see that we have a guest designer for February!!! It is the amazingly talented Suzanne Dean!!! I am so excited that she agreed to guest design this month! All of her work is so beautifully colored and well put together!

Well that is it for me today!! Tune in tomorrow for another sneak peek of the Enchanted Lily set and don't forget the whole set will be available for purchase on Monday, February 23rd! Thanks as always for stopping by! Smiles.

Where oh Where has my Mojo Gone. Oh Where oh Where Can She Be?

Happy Friday everyone!

Wow, I can't believe the weekend is already here! Completely amazing! I have a very fun but kind of rushed day ahead of me. Izzy and I are meeting her friend Lucy at the Carousel at the mall and then we are all going to have Lunch together. Today is actually Lucy's second birthday so it should be a lot of fun! Then it is back home for Mommy to pack for our trip this weekend. We are leaving tonight to go to Jason's Grandmother's 90th birthday party! I just can't believe she is 90. She still looks so young and gets around so well! I can hardly wait to see her. The good thing is that we will only be gone until Sunday so it will be a quick but fun weekend.

Well, Izzy and I had a great day yesterday. We played a whole bunch. Read stories and overall just hung out together. Izzy colored some pretty little pictures and carried around her Valentine's Day cards she got from her grandparents. And of course yesterday was one fun filled day of tormenting Tuxy. I guess she figured that since they didn't get to see much of each other on Wednesday she had to make up for it yesterday! Poor, poor Tuxy! He was chased, patted, and basically tormented the whole day. In fact in the afternoon, I was on the phone with my friend Heather when I looked over and saw her chasing Tuxy with her pink phone saying, "Tuxy phone, Tuxy phone!" Needless to say Tuxy was being a snob and wasn't taking any calls yesterday! So here is a picture! Sorry it isn't a great one, but they were moving so fast I couldn't catch them! LOL!

So as I stated in my title, my mojo is completely gone. Don't know what happened to it! I have been tired this week, so I am really hoping that if I can get to bed early and sleep in a little bit that my mojo will be back! Please cross your fingers!!! And since my mojo has completely disappeared, I only have one small project to share today! I know, I know! See completely gone!

Since it is coming upon the season of Wedding Anniversaries (all of our friends and family got married in the Spring and early Summer) I wanted to get a jump start on my cards! Of course I am loving the new Goin' To The Chapel Set from Storage Units, Ink and More. The images are such a nice mixture of traditional and elegant as well as cute and fun! The perfect set for any wedding or anniversary! Anywhoo, I decided to create a nice romantic anniversary card using this week's Sketch Challenge out on Split Coast.

See what I mean?! You don't just have to make cutesy cards with this set! It is ideal for elegant creations as well! So I started this card by stamping the wedding cake from Goin' To The Chapel from SUINK on white card stock and colored it in using my copics and a glitter pen. Following the sketch, I layered on white and ivory Core'dinations card stock along with some Basic Grey DP. For the circles, I cut them out with my nesties and then ran them through my Birds and Swirls embossing folder. To finish the card off, I added some ivory ribbon, tied two bows on each side of my image and added some pearls to the top of the card. I really think it will make a very nice little anniversary card.

Well, I am off! Need to hopefully get packed before Izzy gets up! Oh, oh, oh!!! Don't forget tomorrow starts the first day of the Pink Cat Sneak Peeks!!! I am so excited to show you what I have and even more excited to see the other DT creations!!! I am sure they will be incredible!!!! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! Smiles!

Ay Mate, Best Wishes!

Happy Thursday everyone!

Sorry I am posting so late today. Jason and I went out for date night last night and didn't get home until really late so I decided to sleep in! Luckily, Izzy had such a good time playing with Lainy and Aunt Tracy that she was super tired too so we both had a very nice morning of relaxing and having fun!!

So, like I said, Jason and I had the best date night last night. We went out to a local Brew House for dinner. It is casual dining but nice. The building is actually a historic Mill with a functioning water wheel so it is really cool. Then we went to the movies. Jason and I never go to the movies so it was a nice surprise. We saw the new Jennifer Aniston movie He's Just Not That Into You. It was actually really good and even Jason liked it! It was a really good mixture of funny and serious. So all in all it as a really wonderful night!

Well, I only have one project to share today what with all the babysitting yesterday and then date night, I didn't get hardly any stamping time! Not that I am complaining. It was such a fun day. Anywhoo, my card for today is for the challenge that Marie issued over at The Greeting Farm Blog! Guess what, guess what!!!! It is a sketch!!! Yesssssss!!! so of course you know that I am going to participate if it is a sketch. And here it is!

Don't you love this!!! I adore how the main panel is turned at an angel and for some reason it said masculine card to me. No idea why. Maybe because of all the straight lines or something. Well to be honest, masculine cards are kind of difficult for me, so I am extra proud of the way this one turned out! I started this card by stamping Hello Ian by The Greeting Farm on white card stock and colored him in using my copics and my gold pen. I added a brad to his hat to simulate a button. I then cut him out and mounted him on brown and green card stock. I next layered on kraft, brown and green card stocks and DP from Basic Grey's Granola. I stamped the sunflower from All Wrapped Up by SU! in so saffron and close to cocoa and then stamped the sentiment from All Around Argyle by SU! in black on top and cut it out along with a piece of green using my nesties. I distressed both the sentiment and image using a sponge and some close to cocoa ink. To finish the card off, I added three green brads down the side and a brown ribbon at the bottom. So, so much fun! Oh and now my good friend Jessica has uploaded a new challenge over at Club Anya! I can hardly wait to play.

Today I wanted to share with you two wonderful RAKs I received from some really great friends. The first is a card I received from my wonderful friend Jacquie! She is so awesome and an amazing talent, I mean just look at the this card! And how sweet is she that she also sent me some of these wonderful sentiments!

The next RAK is from my good friend Danni! She colors so beautifully and I adore the way she decorates the inside of her cards! Oh and she was so sweet to give me some adorable images to color! What a lucky girl I am!!!

Now it is time for my Izzy story. As I mentioned earlier, I babysat Izzy's friend Melaina yesterday. I really think the girls are getting more and more comfortable with each other. They played together and made little art projects. They even fed each. It was so, so cute!!! So here is a picture of them crafting together!

Thanks as always for stopping by! Don't forget the contest over at Pink Cat and the new Challenge at Club Anya and at The Greeting Farm! Lots of Smiles!

Our Wedding!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!

I hope that this week is going well for you. So far mine has been pretty good. Although I did have a monster headache yesterday and I was really tired again. I think it is the weather. Izzy was super tired yesterday too and took like a 3 hour nap! It was crazy! It was really chilly yesterday and it misted pretty much the whole afternoon. Simply one of those days that you want to curl up under a blanket and sleep! LOL!

Well today I am glad to say I am headache free and I get to babysit Melaina!! Yay!!! I am so excited! I know that Izzy is really looking forward to it. She keeps caring around the shoes that we are giving to Melaina and saying, "Lainy shoes, Lainy shoes." It is really sweet!

So, today is Wednesday which means it is Watchadoin' Wednesday time over at Storage Units, Ink and More!!! And by today's title you can tell that my project is going to be wedding themed! But don't worry I am not going to be showing you old pictures of Jason's and my wedding. Nope I am going to show you a treat box/place card holder for a wedding or shower. Which just so happens to be this week's challenge. All the deets for this week's challenge can be found here. And when I saw this week's Try a New Technique Challenge over at SCS I knew that I had the perfect little favor idea!

So what do you think? I actually cut off the rounded top so I could insert name tags, but I really like the concept. And of course I have always love the idea of a Tiffany Blue and chocolate brown themed wedding. Oh so yummy! So I started this box by first printing off the template found over on SCS on white copy paper and cutting it out. I then attached it to my piece of brown and blue Core'dintations Chocolate Box paper with low tack tape, traced around it and cut it out. I then scored all my folds and taped it together. Next I cut out a piece of the same Core'dinations card stock and adhered a piece of Basic Grey Urban Prairie to the middle and created my belly band. I then tied a white grossgrain ribbon around the box and attached my sentiment tag. The sentiment tag was created by stamping "Our Wedding" from Goin' To the Chapel by Storage Units, Ink and More on white card stock with chocolate chip ink, cutting it out along with some more Core'dinations card stock and placing a silver eyelet at the top. For the place card itself, I printed off my couple's names on white card stock using a fancy font and adhered it to the blue side of the Core'dinations paper and then another piece of the brown side. I stamped on the rings also from the Goin' To the Chapel set in chocolate brown and created a little frame around the edges. To complete the favor, I filled it up with silver wrapped chocolate kisses and attached my card with two silver swirls! I think this would make a really elegant little table setting!

Now it is time to check out the rest of the DT's awesome creations! They will be sure to amaze you! And don't forget we would love you to play along too! When uploading your creation to SCS or PCP just be sure to type in the keyword SUINKWWC28 so that we can all view your wonderful creations.

Now for my Izzy story. Another quick one. As I mentioned yesterday my lovely daughter just adores wearing Mommy's shoes but not only that, her socks as well. On Sunday Jason decided to go through all the socks that were missing matches. He brought up almost a whole laundry basket full! LOL! Well, as he was laying out socks, Izzy came over to help and pulled out a couple. Next thing we know she is wearing them! And here she is my little sock princess!

Well that is it for me today! I can't wait to have the girls play together! Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by! Smiles!

On Twinkle Tuesday's We Love to Read and Fish!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Seems like this week is going by at a more sedate pace, thank goodness. I like to enjoy things and not rush through them so it is nice to finally have a week that is going by at a normally! LOL!

Izzy and I had a pretty nice day yesterday. For some reason I was really tired and didn't hardly want to do anything. I actually took a little nap! It felt so good I have to admit. Might just have to do that more often. I am really hoping the temperature is a little warmer today so we can at least go outside for a few minutes. Cross your fingers!

Well, alright. Down to the good stuff! It is Tuesday which means it is Twinkling Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!! I so love to see what Madelynn has come up with. She truly is a sketch genius!!! I dont' know how she does it. Ohhh and guess what? I have the honor of being this week's featured Twinkie!!! How cool is that! Thank you so much Madelynn! So without further ado, here is the this week's Twinkling Tuesday Sketch Challenge and my card!

Isn't it amazing!!! I just love the double panels for your image. And such a clean simple sketch to boot!! Although I have been told that putting an image in the middle is acceptable, I kind of went with the double panel image and created a little scene. I did however move my sentiment so I really hope that is okay Madelynn! Awesome sketch for a scene card! I hope you didn't doubt me! Remember I am the Sketch Queen so I should know about this! LOL! Anywhoo, I started this card by stamping Hanna, the lamp, books and table from Bookworm Hanna by Hanna stamps on white card stock and colored them in using my copics. I drew in the design on the lamp along with the picture using my copic multiliner pen, copics and SU! markers. Following the sketch, I layered on pink, orange and brown card stock along with some paper from American Craft. I stamped the sentiment, mounted it on pink and orange card stock, bent it and popped it off in the corner. To finish off the card I added faux stitching to everything basically because I like it!! LOL! I think it is a fun and girly card for anyone who enjoys reading!

Well, if you liked my card you should just see all of the amazing creations the DT has come up with this week! They will really knock your socks off so be sure to visit and give them some love. And as always make sure you come out and play this week! All you need to do is type in the keyword MTTSC10 when uploading to SCS or PCP.

So for my second project today, I really wanted to use my new Rock the Farm set from The Greeting Farm. I have had it for a week and a half and haven't used it yet!!! Gasp!!! I know, I know!! I just have been having so much fun with all my other TGF stamps that poor little Ian was sitting neglected. So Sunday I sat down and started this card. Of course I couldn't find my buttons so I had to wait until yesterday to finish it, but it is finally complete. I used this week's Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge for the layout.

Could this little Ian be any cuter? Seriously!!! I just love the hat and the fish!!! Awesome!!! So I started this card by stamping Ian from Rock the Farm by The Greeting Farm on white card stock and colored him in using my copics. I then cut him out using my nesties and mounted him on green and blue paper. Following the sketch, I layered on kraft card stock, red card stock that I ran through my spots and dots embossing folder and some DP from Basic Grey's Two Scoops. I went ahead and popped off my main image to give it some depth. To create the bobber sentiment, I cut out kraft, red and white card stock using my nesites and then layered them on. I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the white circle and added a black eyelet and twine to the top. To complete the fishing look, I made a little fishing net out of twine, attached it to the corner of my card and then glued on some fishing buttons. I went ahead and sponged chocolate chip around he edges to dirty them up. I really like how this card turned out. Close to what I had in my head!

Now for my quick Izzy story! So Izzy has decided that she likes to wear Mommy's shoes and socks. Every once in awhile she will disappear into our bedroom and then I will hear, "Click, Click, Click." She is trying to walk in one of my heels. It is so, so cute!! Never mind, I can hardly walk in some of the heels she tries to wear! LOL! Maybe she is going to be a fashion model some day! I mean she is already trying to bring back leg warmers! So here is my future beauty queen with her dog, Tuxy, standing in as her body guard!

Ahh, the joys of motherhood! LOL!!! Well thanks everyone for stopping by today! It has been fun! Lots of smiles!

Look Who's Turning Two!!!

Happy Monday everyone!!!

Another week has started and it looks like it is at least going to be a pretty day if not a cold one. I really wish it would warm up again, but I am not going to complain too much. Just having the sun out is nice, trust me!!! LOL!!

Well, we had a really nice Sunday yesterday. I got to do some stamping, Jason cleaned out the garage and Izzy harassed Tuxy. All in all a nice day. Poor Tuxy I seriously worry about him sometimes. All Izzy does is torment him, and I know she does it on purpose. She even made him move the other day while he was laying on the floor because she wanted to get by. Nevermind there was six feet on either side of him that she could have used. No she had to walk right through him! LOL! Poor, poor, long suffering Tuxy!

So, I guess I have been lazy lately. I only have one card to share with you today! Boooo! I know. I would have had two, but I lost my little fish buttons and have to pick up some more today at Michaels. I really hate when that happens, but I have a strong suspicion that somebody's little hands accidentally put them in the trash and then they got thrown away. LOL! Anywhoo, the project I have for today is a birthday card for Izzy's friend Lucy who will be turning two this week. She is the sweetest little girl who's favorite colors are purple and pink. So when I saw this image from Pink Gem Designs I knew it would be perfect!!! I used last week's Sketch Saturday Challenge sketch for the layout.

Isn't the image adorable!!!! I love it! Anywhoo, I started this card off by stamping Birthday Milly by Pink Gem Designs on white card stock and colored her in using my copics. Following the sketch, I then layered on two different shades of purple card stock and DP from DCWV and K and Company. I used my nesties to cut out the circles and scallops and added purple brads to the four corners to add some color. I finished the card off by printing the purple 2 on my computer, cutting it out with my nesties along with a piece of card stock, popping it off my image and adding some pearls down the middle. I really wanted it to mimic the polka dot paper. I just love the way this card turned out. I wish though that I had thought to mask off the candle and add a second one. Oh, well. Need to keep that idea in mind for next time! LOL!

So here it is, my Izzy story. It kind of goes along with the story above where she is harassing poor Tuxy. Okay, let me preface this story by saying that Tuxy absolutely hates baths. I mean with a passion!!! He won't even go near a tub if he hears water running. So on Saturday morning, Izzy gets up out of bed and does her usual morning cuddles with Jason and I. But instead of asking Jason for waffles like she does every week, she turns to him and says, "Tuxy bath. Tuxy bath." Jason and I were a little stunned. So I said, "Izzy do you want to give Tuxy a bath?" And the little rascal says, "Please!" and starts scurrying off to the bathroom. Of course being as how Daddy is completely wrapped around her finger, guess who got a bath later that morning? Poor, poor Tuxy. So here is my picture of Izzy showing Daddy how much she enjoyed Tuxy's bath.

Well, everyone, thanks so much for stopping by!!! I always enjoy it! Off on a busy day today. Lots of smiles!
