Dorthy is a Twinkle Toes Too!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

This is actually my first of two posts for today. I have my Twinkle Team Card to share in this post and my Pink Cat peeks to share in the second post. I have been a very busy girl lately.

Well, I wanted to give you an update on the leg warmers. I know that everyone is interested. It all started yesterday morning after Izzy woke up. I picked out an outfit for her (jeans and a shirt with some white socks) when she went over to her sock/shoe drawer and pulled out her tights, i.e. leg warmers. She wanted to wear them so badly and they kind of matched, so I put them over her jeans that she was wearing. Well, I know she is my daughter and all, but it looked so funny on her that I started cracking up. I vowed to myself that I would find some patterned tights so that we could hide the leg warmers. Fast forward to later in the morning at Target. I was looking through the sale racks for some pants (Izzy is growing like a weed) and remembered that I wanted to find some tights. I went over to the socks and tights aisle and was frantically searching. Of course they didn't have anything at all. I was so disappointed until I saw one lonely package sitting on top of the hangers. It was pink and white striped and I knew in my heart that it was the tights I had been looking for! My heart beat raced, my cheeks were flushed, I was finally triumphant and then....I looked at the label. They were leg warmers! Can you believe it! I went ahead and bought them for her since they were only a couple of bucks and I figure that if you can beat 'em join 'em. So, I will keep you updated on how Izzy gets along with these new leg warmers.

Okay, so now onto my Twinkle Card. I have discovered Anya from The Greeting Farm and now am in love!!! I can't wait till my new budget kicks in next month so I can get some more! I started off with these adorable Fairy Tale Anya downloads and have been coloring them up since. So here is my card for the magnificent Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

Doesn't Madelynn do a great job! I don't know how she comes up with such great sketches every week, but I am certainly not complaining! LOL! So, I started this card by printing off Dorothy Anya by The Greeting Farm on white card stock and colored her in with my copics. I added some glitter to her red shoes so that they would sparkle. Then following Madelynn's sketch, I layered on black paper, blue paper and different kinds of DP from American Art Craft. I added square, black brads to the top and bottom of my card and then printed off the sentiment on my computer. I adhered it to a piece of blue card stock and a piece of black card stock, popped it off the face and added blue rhinestones to the corners. The inside of the card will read, "The importance of a good pair of shoes!" There are so many woman in my life who love shoes that I might just have to make several of these so that I have enough to give out!

Well, don't forget to check out all the rest of the Twinkle team's creations, they are sure to blow you away! And as always, we would love it if you would play along! All you have to do is type in the keyword, MTTSC5 when uploading to SCS or PCP, so that we can view your wonderful creations.

Also, Rebecca has some blog candy up for grabs on her blog, so be sure to give her a little bit of extra love this week. Be back in just a minute with another post! Thanks for stopping by!
