Happy Wednesday everyone!
Another week is just flying by. The week is already half over and I feel like I have a million things still to do! It is crazy!
Izzy and I had a relatively quiet day yesterday. We stamped and colored, played and even got to enjoy the beautiful weather outside. Izzy just wandered around the yard and looked at everything. Of course she took her shoes off without me noticing and now her socks are almost black on the bottom! Oh well, she was able to have a good time. We also got to see Aunt Tracy last night. Izzy was so excited. She just loved on her and loved on her. Poor Tracy, could hardly take a step without a soon to be two year old latched onto her! After Izzy went to bed, Tracy and I were able to work on some gift tags for a baby shower she is throwing. We have fifty of them! We are close to being done. I think I am going to work on them here and there and then Tracy is going to come by on Friday and pick them up. I really hope everyone likes them! They were awfully fun to make!
So it's Wednesday!!! Oh wait, is there anything that goes on on Wednesdays? Hmmm, let me think. Oh wait, that's right it is Watchadoin' Wednesday over at Storage Units, Ink and More!!!! Whoo, hoo! And it was a tough one this week. I swear, I think the challenge creators must know my weaknesses. LOL! This week the challenge is to create a monochromatic card. White and black are okay to add but you can only have one main color or varying shades of it. I am so proud of myself that I was able to do it. I mean I was sweating bullets there for a minute. LOL! Here it is! I used Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You to Try from two weeks ago for the layout.
Seriously though, there is something wrong with me. When I saw this set in the package and the little pint of beer all I could think about was that old song we used to sing on trips. Sick isn't it! LOL! So I started this card by stamping the beer from Blarney Stone by SUINK four times on white card stock and colored them in using my copics. I added some liquid applique to the foam to make it look nice and frothy. I then cut out my beer and some cream card stock and green Core'dinations card stock using my nesties. Following the sketch, I layered on green Core'dinations card stock along with two different pieces of yummy DP, sorry don't know the brands. I then added some satin ribbon I braided across the top and some that I folded in half at the bottom and added some pearls. I then printed off my sentiment on cream card stock and mounted it on some green and attached to my card with some ribbon. I really hope that cream is considered a neutral. I mean it is a shade of white, right?!
Anywhoo, if you would like to play along with us this week, just make sure you leave a comment on the SUINK blog and tag your awesome creation with SUINKWWC27 when uploading to SCS or PCP. Now be sure to check out the rest of the DT's creations! They are sure to impress!

Now I have another project to share. I have been dying to use my new digital stamp that I purchased at the last Greeting Farm release and now I finally had a chance! Oh, I was so excited to color it up! I actually have had it colored for a little bit but did not have the chance to make it into a card. Well that all changed when I saw the incredible sketch challenge posted by my awesome friend Jessica over at the Club Anya site! I just fell in love with the big circles and how they met in the middle! I knew my little fifties couple would be perfect!!!
Didn't I tell you about the sketch! So awesome! Anywhoo, when I went to pick out papers for this card, I was seriously thinking pink and black to match her little skirt. But then for some reason I picked up the black and white polka dot paper and that led to a similar paper and then to the stripped paper, and voila, I had my color scheme! I started this card off by printing off 50s Sweethearts by The Greeting Farm on white card stock and then colored them in using my copics. Next, following the sketch, I layered on white and black card stock along with lots of white and black DP I believe from Pine Cone Press but don't quote me on that. The large circles were cut out with my circle cutter. I then cut out and popped off my adorable couple and placed them on top of some white and black polka dot ribbon. I tied two little bows on each side to give it some character. To finish the card, I added three large black brads to the corner, stamped the Sentiment from Lily and Billy Sweethearts by Pink Cat Studio, cut it out with my nesties, drew in some music notes and added some black rhinestones! I think it is just so cute and I love the black and white!
Well I am outta here for today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Today is supposed to be rainy so it sounds like an errand day! LOL! Lots of smiles!
