Happy Wednesday everybody!!!!
So sorry I have been gone for so long. Izzy's party really took it out of me. We were busy last week trying to get all the party prep done and then we had family in all weekend. Then Monday I babysat Melaina so yesterday was my first day of normalcy. LOL! I am not complaining though. I had the best time ever and I think Jason and Izzy did as well. She got to spend a ton of time with her grandparents and her little friends. You have never seen so many people take walks around our back yard. LOL! Every time someone walked out the back door, Izzy would walk up to them and grab there hand and say, "Take a walk?" It was so cute! Needless to say she was exhausted from all the exercise!
Her and Melaina had a great time together on Monday as well. Izzy was a little grouchy though. She was still super worn down from the weekend and was having a little bit of trouble adjusting to the regular schedule. They played with all her new toys and colored a ton. It was so so sweet. I can't believe how much they interact now! My baby is growing up!!! Wahhhhhhh!!! LOL!!!
Now a quick project to get me back in the kick of posting! This is actually a birthday card I made for my super good friend Heather! It is okay to post it now since I know she received it! I really wanted to make a card that was personal to Heather but without any brown. (If you know her you know her aversion to brown! LOL!!) We talk pretty much every day and about a month ago we both decided to get headsets so that our backs wouldn't hurt so much. So I present to you my birthday card for Heather!
Front!
Inside!
I know there is a little brown, but hey I have brown hair! I can't change that! I started this card by stamping Dress Me Anya by the Greeting farm on white card stock twice. The first time, I stamped the full Anya and the second one I masked off the hair and drew in my own. I then stamped outfits from Wardrobe #1 by The Greeting Farm on white card stocked colored them all in and assembled my girls. For the card itself I layered on black, blue, and white card stock along with some Basic Grey DP and some Bo Bunny DP. I stamped the sentiment from All About Birthdays by H and M Stamps on white card stock and added some buttons. For the headset, I cut out a headset shape from black paper (I cased this idea from my friend Jessica) and attached a piece of thread to the two so they would connect! To finish the card off I stamped the sentiment "Happy Birthday" on the inside. I am really glad Heather liked it!
Well that is it for me today! Don't forget there is a Blog Hoppin' Bash going on over at Club Anya. The deadline is Sunday April 12th and all participants are welcome. And today our team captain, Jessica has announced the awards that will be given out at the end of our bash! It is sure to be a great release! Thanks everyone for hanging in with me! Smiles!
Omg, this card is absolutely adorable. I love how you colored the hair and the addition of the headpiece which went from the front to the inside of the card. Sooo creative. Keep up the awesome work!

You FREAKIN' amaze me, girlfriend!! This Card is AWESOME - and I love how your sentiment even reflects your habit of tardiness in sending out cards. I just love the hair on the inside Anya - too flippin cute!

ReplyDeleteAww, the card you made for Heather is so pretty with lovely Anya on it! You should have added brown to persuade her that brown is actually a pretty color but it's a good thing you didn't or she would have ended up with a rash!!
As always, beautiful job coloring your image. . and I love that you worked on the inside too! The phone line thingy is so creative! LOL!!

ReplyDeleteHi Jana! This card is so cute and I knew exactly who it was from when Piper showed it to me even though she said "my mom wants me to show you this card she made". LOL! The headset addition is pure genius--I love how it goes through the card to connect them. And, of course, your coloring is fantastic. The hair especially with the darkened roots, you really rock the shadowing!
ReplyDeleteOkay, whoops, I thought you had another post. I forgot to say I'm glad you're back! And you certainly don't need to visit my blog till you are all caught up. Heather said you had some crazy number like 700+ in your reader but I know you've been busy so won't feel slighted if you don't come around for a while! Have a great day which I hope includes some stamping time!!!
ReplyDeleteLast time, I promise. I realize my comments are usually filled with typos but now I see that I left and "n" out of your name--sorry!!
