A Little Bit of Green and A Little Bit of Red!

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and had fun watching the Super Bowl. I had a wonderful weekend and Jason loved watching the Super Bowl, LOL. I of course could honestly care less except for the commercials. Those are my favorite part. I somehow missed most of the commercials, probably because I was busy stamping, but Jason told me I didn't miss much.

Izzy had a wonderful weekend too! She played a ton with Jason and harassed Tuxy, so she had a great time. She has really been into cleaning lately. If she even sees me pick up a sponge she asks for one. And if I am cleaning off the cuuntertop she asks for a paper towel and a couple squirts of cleaning solution so she can wipe them down. It is actually kind of nice. She sort of does the preliminary cleaning and then leaves the rest up to me. I can hardly wait till she is old enough to actually clean, clean. Of course by then, I am sure she won't think it is fun anymore and so will be no help at all! LOL!

Well, how many of you had the best time ever at the Club Anya opening yesterday? ME, ME, ME!!!! Oh my gosh that was fun! I really enjoyed all of the wonderful chatting and the awesome creations that everyone made. And who doesn't love to see new stamps for sale! Well, I teased you yesterday with just a snippet of my Anya card so now I will show you the whole thing. Hope you like it! I used Sherry Siemens sketch for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge Extravaganza for the layout.

This is one of those cards that I was really happy how it turned out, so I hope you are too! I started this card by printing off Riding Hood Anya by The Greeting Farm on white card stock and colored her in using my copics. To create the scene behind her, I used the writing end of my close to cocoa stampin' write marker and drew in the trees, gravel path, grass, and stone path. I then colored them all in with my copics. I punched out a picket fence using my Martha Stewart punch, attached it to my background and then popped off my Anya. I cut all the circles out using my nesties and arranged them on the page according to the card sketch. I layered on dark red card stock, tealish blue card stock and some gorgeous DP that I wish I could remember the name of, but I only had scraps of it. To finish the card, I printed off the sentiment on my computer, added some rhinestones and placed three teal brads in the corner. I thought it would make a cute card for Izzy to give her grandmother!

Now, the second moment you all of have been waiting for! Storage Units, Ink and More's February stamps sets went on sale yesterday!!! Yeah!! Aren't they just amazing?!! They are the must have sets so make sure you pick yours up. In honor of this new release, I created a card using the new St. Pat's Day set. I used Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You To Try from last week for the layout.

Isn't this little Irish dancer just the cutest?! I just fell in love with her when I saw her. Now, I started this card by stamping the little girl from Blarney Stone by Storage Units, Ink and More on white card stock and colored her in with my copics. I decided to create a shamrock behind her, so I cut out green hearts and some DP hearts using my cricut machine, then added a little stem to complete the look and popped my girl off the middle. Following the sketch, I layered on white and green card and some yummy DP from Basic Grey. Next, I stamped the sentiment and some green shamrocks on some white and green card stock I cut out with my nesties and then added some gold swirls to the corner. To finish the card, I added some white grossgrain ribbon and three green brads to the corner. I just know this will be a perfect card for my best friend and Irish woman, Tracy!

Well, I have basically talked your ear off today so I hope you don't mind! Thanks as always for stopping by and don't forget the Pink Cat Challenge going on at PCP right now!
