Happy Friday!!
Well, it is finally here and I will be honest, I am glad! I am a little tired today, so I am sorry this is kind of a short post. It has been the most unbelievably exciting week for me and it's not over yet! I will actually be teaching my first stamping class tomorrow at my local stamping store and afterward I get to meet with the amazingly talented Lynn Mercurio to discuss coloring techniques!! I am so excited but exhausted! So, I only have a quick Izzy story to share and a quick card too!
Like I said, this week has been really busy for Izzy and I, what with the Pink Cat Release , my MFT news and my class this weekend, we have been running around like crazy! Well yesterday, we went to the stamp store again to pick up more paper and then headed back home to play a little bit before she went down for her nap. As soon as we arrived home, she grabbed her little stuffed penguin and ran into her bedroom. I figured she must want to play in her kitchen, but when I followed her in, she was trying to reach into her diaper drawer to pull out a diaper. I thought she must need a change and went ahead and pulled one out. The sweet little thing then went and grabbed the wipes for me. I kept thinking to myself how wonderful it is now that she is so mobile and understands what is going on. With a warm smile on my face I turned around and she is wiping her penguin and trying to diaper him. I couldn't believe it. Now, the thing is, this penguin isn't large, seriously 4 of them could probably fit into the diaper, but I went ahead and praised her mommy skills and went on about my business. She played at diapering for like 20 minutes! I guess we do spend quite a bit of time doing that, now if she can only change her own without any help from Mommy!!! LOL!
Alright so my first and only card today is a card I created for a sketch challenge!!! Surprise!! I miss them okay, I have been really good all week and haven't been doing hardly any at all, and now I am having withdrawals. So I am getting hooked again! This time I used SCS Wednesday Sektch Challenge for the layout.
Can you believe it! I have had this stamp for almost a month now and haven't inked it up!!! What is wrong with me, I have no idea, but I am so pleased with how she turned out! She is just the cutest stamp ever! I started this card by stamping Sending You Love by Paper Pretties on white card stock and coloring her in with my copics. I then cut her out and following the sketch layered on pink, light green and dark green card stock along with coordinating DP. I did slightly alter the sketch by shifting her over to the side instead of putting her in the middle because it just looked better for this image. I used my Cricut machine to cut out some flowers and mounted them in the corners with some light green brads. I know this isn't the traditional Valentine's day colors, but I just loved the way they combined on this card!
Like I said, this is going to be a quick post! Don't forget you have until midnight CST on Sunday to enter into my Blog Candy in this post. Thanks as always for stopping by and leaving all of your sweet comments! They mean so much to me! Have a great weekend!
