Pink Cat is in the House!! Can I get a Whoop, Whoop!

Happy Monday everyone, and yes I know that I am totally lame!

I am so excited!!! today is the first day of the sneak peeks for Pink Cat Studios gorgeous, awesome new stamps!!! But first you have to hear a quick story about my personal life, oh come on, you know you live for these!!!

So, my daughter, Izzy, is now a child of the 80's. Here is why! (and no it does not have anything to do with my lameness!). For Christmas, Izzy received a pair of what I thought were cute tights. I know you have seen these for little kids, they are thick, but they have stripes all over them or they have funky designs or flowers. Anywhoo, she received stripe ones and ones that have vines with little red flowers all over them. I thought they were so cute. (BTW, if anyone knows where you get these let me know please!). So the other day, I was getting her dressed and had an outfit picked out that would match the striped tights perfectly. I opened up the package and out popped LEG WARMERS!!! Can you believe it, they are leg warmers! I just stared at the package, wondering what in the world I am going to do with these, because Izzy thought they were tights. Well, the first time I put them on, she didn't want anything to do with them. But the next day, it was all she could talk about and now she wants to wear them all day every day. She even tries to put them on herself! Maybe she will be trend setter when she gets older!!

Alright, alright, now for the sneak peeks!! Oh I am so excited!! There will be two new stamp sets released on Thursday the 15th, and both are must haves!! The first set that I want to show you a peek of is Kiki Kitty! This set has the most adorable little kitty images that are perfect for any occasion. In fact, with spring coming up, I wanted to give my husband a special gift to let him know I care. Since he loves to garden I decided this little starter pot would be perfect.

See, what I mean about how cute Kiki is!!! And she is really easy to color. Perfect for invitations, gifts and pretty much anything. I started this project off by stamping Kiki holding the flower pot on white card stock and then colored her in with my markers and copics. I stamped the sentiment and the butterfly, both from the new Kiki Kitty set, three times and then colored it in with my markers and copics. I went over the butterflies and flower with my glitter pen to give it some sparkle. Next, using a seed packet as a guide, I made a belly band for my Kiki out of red and yellow card stock. I wrapped it around the seed pack and attached a stick to the back so that it would stick up. I then filled a small clay pot I picked up from Michaels with potting soil and tied a green bow around the pot. (Don't worry, I didn't plant anything. I have a black thumb so I am leaving the planting up to Jason!) I think this will be a perfect gift and was really easy to make!!

My next project I have to share is one of my favorites!! Sometimes you have a project and it just all comes together and that is exactly what happened with this card. Without further ado, I present to you the first sneak peek from Lily and Billy Sweethearts!

Aren't they the cutest!!! I just love this little stamp! Oh, I melted when I saw for the first time! How cute is it that Lily is in the basket?!!! Okay, enough gushing. I started this card by stamping Lily and Billy on the bicycle from Lily and Billy Sweethearts by Pink Cat Studio on white card stock and colored them in. I went ahead and drew in the background using my markers and a ruler. I added silver pen to the bike along with some crystal effects so that it would shine. I then cut it out using my nesties along with a piece of black card stock and a piece of red card stock. I placed it in the middle of large yellow, black and orange daises I cut out with my Cricut machine. I ran the yellow daisy through my swirls embossing folder to give it some texture. I placed the whole thing on a piece of DP from DCWV, added three red brads to the corner and added a piece of red and white stitched ribbon to the bottom. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment, also from Lily and Billy Sweethearts, on white card stock and cut it out along with some yellow and red card stock using my nesties. Like I said, I just think it is so cute, made possible by the adorable images!

Well, those are all the peeks I have for today! Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's projects, they are sure to stun!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget the contest is still going on at Pink Cat until tomorrow so get your entry in! Thanks as always for stopping by and tune in tomorrow for another sneak peek!
